Sports England are the arms-length body of government responsible for growing and developing grassroots sport and getting more people active across England.
They started out as The Sports Council, an independent body under the Department of National Heritage, that was established by Royal Charter in 1972.
In 1996 an amended Royal Charter established The English Sports Council, which came into being on 1 January 1997 as The Sports Council was reorganised into UK Sport and the home nations sports councils – they were then rebranded as Sport England in 1999.
Superyacht Charities wants to ensure that worthy causes receive funding to help the growth of smaller non-government funded not-for-profit organisations.
We support charitable causes that do not receive any Government funding and that can prove to us that more than 90% of all funds they receive are spent on the cause they support
• To achieve this SYC has launched a new initiative starting in 2022, enabling the superyacht industry to support a broader charitable need.
• This is known as ‘Cash4Causes’
• Rather than SYC selecting the charities and causes to support, we want you to apply to us so that we can use our funds to make a difference
Find a marine trade is owned by John and Claire Waddington, who have been involved in the industry for several years, as brokers and promotional campaigners, exhibiting at every boatshow in the EU and UK with floating docks from the USA to RIBs from the EU.
Living on our motor yacht as well, as being in the trade, meant that we were often being approached by boat owners asking where they could find trades and products for their boats.
Although most marinas have marine based tenants, who are often very busy, we discovered a whole world of private individuals who didn’t really advertise but who offered equally good products and services and who were also very skilled.
We distribute physical, promotional cards to boat owners everywhere via yacht clubs and marinas as well as using social media and the internet to promote findamarinetrade.com
